"Get up! Get up!" She screamed.
I couldn't move a muscle. Pain surged all over my body even if i moved an inch. The bruises and injuries paralysed me.
"Are you deaf? GET UP!" She kicked me hard in the stomach. I gasped. The pain was so excrutiating, i thought i was bleeding to death.
Suddenly, I could taste the saltish taste of blood trickling out from my bruised mouth. I just couldn't help thinking and wondering how i ended up like this in this horrible situation...
My name is Moon. I know it's a fairly weird name, but i like it. It's unique and special. I have a ordinary family of 4; my dad, mum, sister and I. My dad, works as a factory worker while my mum is a housewife. My sister, who's only 2 years older than me, studies in the same secondary school as me. Even though, we aren't that rich, we are still wealthy in our relationship.
I love my sister very much. She is like my best friend and my big sister too. We have fun together, do homework together and even bathe together. We are almost like twins. However, since that day, it was like i never even known her before.
19 October 2005 :
"Moon, let's go!" I hastily buckled my school bag onto my back and ran out of the living room to the door step where Bella was standing. She was wearing the exact same school uniform as me, Greenville High. And had the most straightest and neatest hair i've ever seen with round almond shaped eyes. Bella smiled at me and rubbed my black hair. "Oh, Moon." and she kissed me on the cheek. I giggled. I liked it when she said, "Oh, Moon."
Just as we were about to step out of the flat, my mum sped right up to us, her fingers pinched around a piece of yellow triangular paper. It had red chinese words printed on it. Bella spoke first.
"What's this, ma?" She seem appauled that we didn't know what was it, and expected us to know. "It's a good luck charm, dears! Oh my, you didn't know?" We both nodded in unison. This was the kind of thing Ma thought we should know, being a Buddhist and all. It was just that Bella and I weren't that 'faithful' as Ma and Pa were. So, it seemed that we were both thinking the same thing, and we sighed.
"Aye, Xin hui, ni ying gai zhi dao ma." Ma, too sighed, and patted Bella's shoulder. She was not that much taller than Bella, who was already a hundred and sixty, and had to tiptoe to touch her. Then, she turned to me. "Yue liang, ni ye shi." Unexpectedly, she pulled out my palm and handed me the the good luck charm. "Ma! I don't need this!" I didn't take it...
There's a stranger in my life.
